My Clients

I was originally focused on 6th to 12th graders.  I enjoy the challenges that come with this age group. In my teaching and tutoring, I’ve been able to connect with teens and earn their trust. I’ve found it’s essential that the kids I work with feel confident that I can build upon and enhance their abilities. I want to teach them new skills while simultaneously making sure they learn in a manner that makes sense for how their minds work.  I provide a non-judgmental, casual atmosphere but make no mistake, I am squarely focused on positive, tangible outcomes for your teen.

Since Covid hit, I’ve been asked to help a number of students in college. Some students are struggling to adjust to the rigors of higher education, others have become anxious, and a number of students feel unprepared to successfully meet college writing requirements. I have helped students learn skills so they can effectively outline, analyze, organize and write papers in a variety of classes including psychology, art history, business, sports, culture and society, literature, black history, philosophy, film, environmental geoscience and media. This has been a very rewarding addition to my tutoring practice.

As a parent, you are big part of the equation – the client behind the client, if you will.   I use information you share with me about your teen’s personality and learning style to customize my sessions, and since you’re paying the bills, I keep you updated as to the progress being made.
